Benefit garage sale

A 3-day benefit garage sale was held
for us. We took advantage of an annual garage sale held in the neighborhood where some friends live. So many items were donated that at one point the
garage, the driveway and the front yard of our friends’ house was full of stuff
for sale.
The sale went extremely well despite
it being a cloudy and rainy weekend. In fact, it did better than the previous garage sales we had. And they were on sunny days. The items that didn’t sell were taken to a
nearby Goodwill drop site to benefit others. The drop sit was temporarily setup in an empty parking lot to assist all the families in the neighborhood that held garage sales.
The proceeds from the sale generated enough
money to move from the United States to México and to get settled in our new
home in Querétaro.
