It had been a while since we had a place to call our own. All
of us were ready to get to our home in Queretaro despite it being unfinished.
We pressed on.
Our goal was to drive straight from the border to our home. We were successful, even though it was tempting at times to
check into a hotel.
The drive was mostly uneventful. We are grateful to God for
that. We passed through mostly desert and sparsely populated land and drove
past the major cities along the way. We only had a few minor inconveniences, such
as, exaggerated reactions from our kids to flies in the car. Also, the kids had
to hold the portable DVD player upside down in order to watch videos right side
up.
Tight and snug quarters in the car.

3:30 am Sunday - We
arrived safely at our home in Queretaro. Everyone went to bed exhausted, especially Brenda who did
most of the driving.
A few hour later, I (Bryan) woke up disorientated. It felt to me as if our home wasn’t
home at all, just another temporary living arrangement. It took me a while to
realize we were finally home.
Its the middle of the night on a road trip through Mexico. What did you do? Well, you pose behind a cardboard cut out at a race car themed gas station.
