MBC visit

A team from the Muskoka Bible Centre (MBC) in Huntsville, Ontario visited Pan de Vida. They helped with construction projects and with the school.

Team members joined in the devotional class for the junior high students. 

Peter Frieswick, the team leader, was a guest speaker for 3 days for the high school devotional group. He spoke about 3 major topics that appear in the first 9 chapters of Proverbs, which are sex, money and power. I (Bryan) translated the first 2 days. His wife Adriana translated the last day.

Adriana also spoke to the students of my English classes about her experience with learning English. She shared about moving at a very young age from the United States to Mexico when her parents separated. Adriana, her mom and 2 siblings eventually lived for a couple of years at Pan de Vida.  A few years ago, Adriana took of advantage of an opportunity to live and work in Canada. The English students learned the opportunities that are available to those who learn a second language and how God will work in our lives in ways we would never imagine.

In addition to doing construction work at Pan de Vida, many of the team helpers served as conversation partners in the English classes and helped participate in games focused on practicing English.  They enjoyed interacting with the kids and getting to know them better.
