Teacher Orientation

August 27-31

                                                      Jorge facilitating the teacher orientation

The volunteer teachers at Pan de Vida met for a week prior to the start of the new school year.

Each morning, one of the teachers gave a devotional to start the meeting for the day.  I gave a devotional on Proverbs 11. I had given this devotional to the high school kids in the previous school year. This chapter deals with how we leave a legacy.  This is particularly true for teachers who have an impact on their students. The teachers shared how other people in their lives had influenced them.

                                                                                        My classroom, #16

I  was excited to find out that I would have my own room. Now I can keep all the English materials and lesson plans in one place.

During orientation, we discussed the challenges and opportunities there for the new school year. Also, we worked on the class schedule for the school year and prepared our classrooms.

Brenda is going to teach math to the junior high students twice a week.

My teaching schedule consists of 7 English classes (each one is 4 days a week) and a daily High school Bible class.
