On the road...again
Friday, November 2
On Saturday, November 3, my family
and I are heading for Texas.
We plan to be in the USA until Nov 12.
We plan to be in the USA until Nov 12.
It will take 12 hours to drive 560
miles (900 km) from Queretaro, Mexico to Mission, Texas (that also
includes the 1-2 hour wait to actually cross the border).
Yes, it's going to be a long day for
us.
Since moving to Mexico, we have gone on this journey 2 times...and survived. Even our kids handle it pretty well. However, it’s not something we are looking forward to.

We have to do this every 6 months. That is the maximum amount of time that both tourists and foreign cars are allowed to stay in Mexico.
We would love to stay in Mexico for a longer period of time without having to return to the USA. However, our monthly income has to increase first, before I (Bryan) can apply for a resident visa.
The country wants us to formally
prove that I can financially support both myself and my family on a monthly
basis. I say "formally" because it has only been due to the
generous giving (1-time gifts, monthly giving and donations) from people like you that has enabled my family of 5 to live in
Mexico for over a year.
So in the
meantime, I have to keep applying for a new tourist visa every 6 months.
Since Brenda and the kids have dual citizenship,
they can stay as long as they want. Thank God for that! We have saved a lot of money on tourist visas. Even though they don’t
need to leave Mexico, they are coming along to support me.
Foreigners have to be outside the country for at least 3 days before they can re-apply for the necessary permits. We will use our time in the USA to rest, pick up some things, talk about our ministry and enjoy our time together as a family.
Also, an increase in our income will allow us to buy a car that is licensed in Mexico.
We are still using our American licensed car.
If you aren't currently supporting our ministry on a regular basis, please consider it. We appreciate the one-time gifts which help us tremendously. Yet, we need more people to partner with us on a regular basis. We are still short of our monthly budget goal.

Once we meet our monthly goal, I will be able to apply for a resident visa and save up to buy a car licensed
in Mexico. This will allow us to stay longer in Mexico, make longer-term plans and have a more
effective ministry.
You can help!
There are 3 ways you can help us on our trip
1.Prayer
- Protection on our trip.
- Provision for expenses (meals, lodging, tourist visa, car permit fee, etc).
