The following is an update of the week of October 12-19.

The students in my English classes are working hard in class to learn how to speak, read, write and listen in English. This past week they learned the verse Joshua 1:9 and the song Come Now is the Time to Worship. The verse was the main verse from the semon last Sunday and the song was one of the songs that was sung in church.
· This past week was the start of the English module for the the high students. They have their schooling online where they study one subject at time for four straight weeks. A fellow English teacher and I put the traditional English class on hold to be able to help them by answering any questions they have and checking their work before the submit it.
·
The second year and third year junior high students are learning about the past simple. An example of this verb tense would be to talk about what one did yesterday. We also worked on reciting verbs to memorize them. I found out that many of my third year junior high students enjoy the song Reckless Love. It accidentally played on YouTube after listening to Come Now is the Time to Worship.
·
· My grade 6 students worked on learning the demonstraive pronouns which are the words this,
that, these, and those.
After school, I normally eat lunch with the kids. Previously, the kids were separated by gender for meals, so I would only eat with the boys. Now, everyone is eating together at the same time. So far, it appears to be working well to have all the kids and volunteers sharing a meal.

Brenda and I are both experiencing pain from compressed nerves. Brenda´s discomfort is more severe and occurs regularly with all the extra weight on her hips and nerves. 33 weeks of pregancy has taken its tool. Mine occurs at random due to back problems. It affects different parts of my body - last week I had limited motion in my right shoulder.
Brenda continues to tutor Brenda and Laura in math.

Financial update
· Our ministry is still underfunded. Last month there was a drop in donations. For the month of Septermber, we received $800 (US dollars).
As of October 19, we have received a total of $400.
Please pray for the provison of our finances for both the remainder of this month as well as the rest of the year.
Please consider making a donation to help us with our finances for last month and/or this month.
Also, if you aren´t currently a regular supporter of our ministry, please pray and think about making a committment to partner with us every month. Every new partner helps us get closer to our monthly budget goal of $2,500.
When we are short on donations, we have to delay purchases and cover any outstanding expenses from personal savings. So, every dollar contributed to our ministry means a lot to us. Your giving is making a difference in the lives of kids who have been the victims of inadequate care, abandonment or abuse.Tax deductible donations can be made at https://cten.org/missionary/bryanottoson/

Thank you for your prayers and support.
Also, we really appreciate everyone who takes the time to watch our videos and read our emails and blog postings. A lot of work goes into each one.
Sincerely,
Bryan and Brenda Ottoson
