Passport, Permit & Travel need April 2019




Greetings.
Two weeks ago, we asked for your help in the purchase of new tires.  
What followed was an unexpected showering of support above and beyond  what we asked for.  We are reminded of this every time we use the car. Your giving gave us an opportunity to share how God is faithful.
It has made an impression on the kids at Pan de Vida, because they can see a real life example of applied faith and answered prayer. Again, we are grateful for everyone that cheerfully gave.  Not only was a need met, but it also glorified God.
Now we humbly come to you with another need.  We would prefer not to have to ask again so soon for help, but due to our monthly support being below our budget goal, we must present our request for assistance.  
As previously mentioned, we must go to Texas in April. $1,659 is needed to cover all the costs.
We will use a 2-week long school break in Mexico to address pending legal obligations.  They require us to go back in the USA. The following documents are expiring in May
  • Mexican visa for Bryan.
  • Mexican car permit
  • American passports for our daughters Ariadne and Brianna (see above photo) 

Having these permits will allow us to continue to minister in Pan de Vida for another 6 months without legal complications.  The passports for our daughters will be good for another 5 years. 
However, the total cost just for the permits and passports is $477 (American dollars), which is more than half of our current monthly income.
There are other expenses involved with obtaining the permits and passports, such as gasoline, food, lodging, tolls and medical insurance for the time that we are gone. We estimate that the total cost will be $2,559

However, due to the received donations that went beyond what we needed for tires, we only need to raise $1,659 of the $2,559.

The car maintenance for pre-trip preparation and post-trip recovery has been covered. It's a good thing too, since we will log around 1,700 miles (2,736 km) in 2 weeks.

Please consider helping us in reaching this goal of $1,659.

Year to date, our family of 5 is currently receiving $810 a month in committed financial support. 

Obviously, we can't afford this trip, let alone the costs for the permits and passports necessary for ministering at Pan de Vida. Although this is impossible for us, we know it is not impossible for God! We invite you to partner with us in the work God is doing at Pan de Vida by helping us to cover this ministry need.

In addition to this upcoming ministry need, please consider partnering with our ministry on a regular basis.  If our monthly support was $2,500, we would be fully funded to cover regular occurring costs as well as major one-time expenses like this. As a bonus, Bryan would be eligible for a longer term visa.

Below is a list of all our projected trip-related expenses in American dollars.

The first figure for each category is the total costs; the sub-points are a breakdown of the total costs.
